Biz Minute Video: Don’t Be Too Easily Influenced

I really do not watch the local news at 11. It is by far the most negatively influence 15 minutes of the day. The local channels need to “trump” each other for ratings. So what they gravitate to is to find the most violent, water cooler story to hype you up.

There is an old saying that “Good news travels fast, but bad news runs a sprint” Basically saying that the worse the news is, the faster it can spread. What this does is make each station try to find the worst stories it can. And whom ever has the worst, nastiest, sleazy nut bag story wins! YEAH!!!

Well guess what…I think I will pass. And if a blog is full of negative news, you can bet I pass on those most times too. Accentuate the positive and avoiding the negative has proven time and again to be the best for your boy.

Here is the book that I mention in this video. It is called the 4-Hour Work Week by Timothy Ferriss and this book literally changed my life. Many of the things in here are really good. While not everything may be up your alley, nor mine, the principles make running the owning your own thing much clearer than you may have ever though!
