Today’s challenging business climate calls for innovative problem solving. Have you solved a business challenge? Tell us about it for a chance at a $10,000 grand prize and a year-long publicity campaign for your business!

Don’t worry, I can NOT enter the contest, so I will not be asking you to vote for me on my Twitter posts, LOL. This is YOUR chance to be a big winner for your small business. I am one of the Judges so I will not be able to win this one :-(

What Works for Business Contest from Business.com
How does the contest work?

Simply submit a short description (see recent entries) of a challenge your business has faced and how the issue was solved. It’s that simple. An expert panel of judges will narrow down the field to 50 finalists. Then winners across 10 categories will be determined by popular vote in December.

Who can enter?

If your business is located in the U.S. or Canada and enter by December 3, you are eligible to win. You can enter as many times as you’d like.  Just make sure each entry describes a different challenge/solution.

What are the prizes?

One business will win the grand prize of $10,000 and nine other category winners will win $2,000 each. All winning businesses will be featured in a national, year-long publicity campaign related to the contest on Business.com and partner sites.

The What Works for Business Contest is all about what businesses can actually do to survive and thrive in 2009.

  • Jim Blasingame invited Business.com’s Dan Kehrer to discuss the contest on Jim’s The Small Business Advocate radio show
  • Carolyn Wilman, The Contest Queen, blogged about the contest yesterday.
  • Susan Heathfield wrote about the contest on About.com
  • Steve Wiideman “broke the story” by publishing the first mention of the contest on his SEO Expert blog (love the enthusiasm, Steve!)

Sure things are not all roses in online retail. There is some signs that this holiday season will NOT mimic the success of some past sales volume on the net and elsewhere. One thing about the new President is that he is coming into a bunch of mess, but the last thing he can do is bitch about it. Why? Because he is the PRESIDENT!Agents of Revenue

Well, who are we? We are Presidents, CEO’s, Leaders of Business and we can NOT start to whine about the mess, we just got to get in, get focused and make it happen.

Here is a NEW tool to help us make it happen, check out the Agents of Revenue radio show on Wednesdays at 1:14 pm. Yeah, that is right it is at 1:14 on Wednesday.
