Confused about ebay AlternativesAre you confused by all the new and shiny eBay alternatives available to your? It is time to start learning about them. Multiple streams of income might save your business in 2009. I am saying this very matter-of-factly, but for some, this coming year could be a death nail to your small business if you are not smart and careful.

Put away the egg nog high and Christmas hoopla and all you have left are retail numbers that are NOT too good. You can keep fooling yourself into thinking that just because Christmas sales did not suck that your are doing OK.

Well reality is about to hit many eTailors right in the face in 2009. You need to be looking at multiple strategies to generate income for the slowing consumer spending. But where to go? You have been doing this “one site” strategy for so long you have no idea where to look next.

image thumb2 The eBay Alternatives: Planning for Multiple Income Streams I am going to take a look at some of the alternatives or better yet, “ADDITIONS” to your eBay or other single platform strategies. In this video I take an “extended” look at eBay, Amazon, Craig’s List, eBid, iOffer, eCrater, Bonanzle and some other alternatives to your eCommerce sales strategy for 2009.

It is a long one, but overall…this is time well spent. I have also added an MP3 audio version so you can take it with your and listen at your leisure, but the video has graphs and charts that really bring it home. So grab some lunch and take time for your business.

  1. John, did you confuse ecrater.com with etsy.com? etsy.com is a niche site for handmade items (now extended to vintage collectibles) and its traffic is beating ecrater and ioffer, as in about 3 million unique visitor for December, as opposed to less than 1 million for the other two.

  2. Yep, sure did. I noted it on the video too. Thanks for the heads-up. Getting old sucks, you forget alot of stuff. LMAO
