Auctiva Alert: Time To Sound The ALL CLEAR!
This morning I am HAPPY to report that the issues with Auctiva and their “malicious software” has been resolved. I was able to get to the Auctiva pages will NO ALERTS from Google. The tag of malicious site has been REMOVED!
The pending status is good news for ALL the sellers that use the tool. But the lingering damage to trust and reputation could play out for weeks to come. I am going back to reflect on what transpired and will be presenting it THIS WEDNESDAY on the the B.S. Walks program at 1:14 pm.
This Auctiva situation was a WAKE UP CALL and a good case study, worthy of the time to review it. So please join me on Wednesday 1:14 pm for B.S. Walks as we analyze this entire 3 day event.

I saw things were finally back to normal about 9 am EST. I am glad to be able to get back to work, but am still a bit wary. I did some investigating of other listing services (Vendio and InkFrog), and may go that way at some point, but with over 750 items listed now, that’s an awful lot to have to take down and relist, and I’d really rather stay with Auctiva.
Thanks again for keeping us all updated!
I was browsing on eBay @ about 3:00 a.m. PST and was checking out another seller’s items and she also used Auctiva. I clicked on her pictures and surprisingly the attack site sign was gone.Although I could not find any news that Google has rescanned Auctiva. But then again it was 3:00 a.m.I too have checked out InkFrog, Vendio and Seller Source just to see what my options are besides Auctiva. It has been quite a rollercoaster ride.I am still kinda wary about the whole situation. That’s for the updates.
