How Do You Use Twitter? 10-Step Newbie Twitter Handbook
How did the question of “how to Twitter” become so complicated? Where is this thing going? Is it good for my business? Is it good for my kids? What is it?
Please share this one with all your Twitter wanna-be newbie friends.
Enough! So I have made the 10-Step Quick Start Twitter Handbook…
1) Only 140 characters – say it quick!
2) Use “@ + user name” to send a reply or comment on others posts
3) Use “RT + user name” to share someone else’s post with your followers
4) Yes, I am sure somewhere, someone cares what you are eating right now. But ONLY if you care what they are eating right now.
5) Feel free to interact with ANYONE (see #2)
6) RT or ReTweeting (repeating) other people’s post is like applause (see #3)
7) Use a picture of YOU. Everyone hates talking to billboards…least I do!
8 ) Short abbreviation of words is acceptable ie You = U, 2 = too or to, I = I
9) Follow about 10-15 people you think are informative or fun. (No, they will not suddenly stalk you!)
10) Punctuation is OPTIONAL
Now just go give it a try. There is not right way or wrong way, just DO IT. That is how we all got started. We were all new to Twitter and more new ones are adding on every day.
