1) "Afghanistan’s only pig quarantined in flu fear" http://ow.ly/5k6B This is a truly hilarious story about a not-funny situation. Afghanistan, a Muslim country, has only one pig in the country, installed at a national zoo. However, Afghani officials decided to place the pig in quarantine after the recent Swine Flu outbreaks. They did not, however, receive the pig from Mexico. It was a gift from the Chinese.

2) "Van Gogh Ear" http://ow.ly/5h27 This is an interesting twist to a very familiar story. It seems that there is a new theory on how Van Gogh’s famous ear amputation, and that was actually the result of a dispute, and not as a lovelorn act. Check out the story before you decide what opinion is correct.

3) "5 Ways Traditional Media is Going Social" http://ow.ly/5e9f It’s a social, social world and it’s only getting more so. From the White House having streaming, real-time photos, to having the ability to order food online, this type of socializing is only being increased by having instant access to the world through the internet, wireless networks, and other media sources. Check out the ways our lives are changing.

4) "Will the Twitter Bird Land on the Apple Tree?" http://ow.ly/5k6a Apple is a company that is always looking for ways to expand, and what with the success of Twitter, it only seems natural that the two might team up. Are the rumors true, and what can we expect if these two companies connect? This is a great article about the prospect of that on the horizon.

5) “Useful Photoshop Tutorials for Amazing Photo Effects @ SmashingApps" http://ow.ly/5k6u Still figuring out all the cool effects you can do with Photoshop?
