Ladies and Gentleman The Sound of eBay’s "Voice" : Usher With His Latest Hits
You like the title? I think it is kind of a fun flip. No, it’s not that R&B Usher, nope. This Usher is a little more "light skinned" and probably does not dance as much, LMAO.
Usher Lieberman is the Senior Manager of Corporate Communications at eBay North America. Pretty big title there and I really wanted to know what that meant and what he is tasked with. One thing that can make or break a relationship is communication. Most of the successful marriages, partnerships and friendships derive from good communication.
In 2009, with social networking being all the buzz, the reality is, communication is more important than ever. After a tough 2008 for eBay, they are making some changes in 2009. Usher, was VERY candid about how things in 2009 have and will be vastly different than in the past.
We sit down and have a fantastic chat about all things corporate, eBay and taking on the task of communicating the "message" of a large public corporation like eBay and still maintaining a personal voice. I think this Usher dude actually must have some dance moves of his own.
One thing that comes abundantly clear in this interview, Usher is a very genuine dude that strives to be on top of his game. I went into this conversation with no understanding and left with much insight. That alone is the power of being able to dialog with respect. I guess that is what the definition of communication could be summed up to be… "Dialog with respect", not a bad thing to have with anyone you do business with, huh?
