Good Hair: The Trials of Being A Black Woman
I was raised in a house full of woman. Both my mother and sister are Black woman, duh, LOL. This issue of hair has been the case secret in our culture for YEARS. Do you know that 80% of ALL hair care dollars are purchased by Black women?
Most black women spend 10′s of thousands of $$$ making their hair "look" straight. Over the lifetime of an average Black woman she will spend upwards of $100,000 just on hair care alone by the time she is 50 years old. WOW!!! Black woman make up just 10% of the population of women yet account for 80% of hair care spending. DUDE! That is OMFG outrageous.
With my 12 year old step daughter going to Jr. High, the trials of the being a Black woman has once again started in my household. Bravo and GOOD JOB Chris Rock!!!
