I for one (who have not voiced a single complaint through all of eBay's changes in 2008 and 2009) see Lorrie's post as an attempt to turn gross negligence in minding the store for the peak season combined with a blatant demonstration of technical incompetence, as something to BRAG about.

My domain, www.bluejayslanding.com, opens in my eBay store. Most of the day yesterday a browser attempt at entering that, a direct click on my red door and a search by bluejayslanding (my user ID) resulted in a failure to display the page message from IE8. About the time the announcement was posted on the eBay board, I was able to click through and 70% of my listings were missing. At about 10pm PST last night, eBay had restored another 16% so 54% were still missing. My sales were booming, and they stopped at 4:30am yesterday morning. CAN WE TALK LOST REVENUE (refunding listing fees doesn't begin to talk to me)? I am not Titanium. I'm trying to get to Silver from Bronze (not for the title, but for the income).
I guess this was eBay's Beta test for eliminating Stores!!!
