1st Ecommerce Merchants Meetup for Atlanta of 2010
I am really excited about the prospects of the new year 2010 for ecommerce and ecommerce merchants. What solidified our business during a tough economic time will bond us together going forward as business owners. How you and I responded to the challenges of the past year and how we all gird up for the coming year is a powerful thought process.
Your business and you are so locked together that sometime it takes outside input to help sure the next steps we make. The main problem is that some of the outsiders are NOT really serving your best interest. Fielding the pitches of so-called "experts", "vendors", "consultants" and "social marketing (fill in the blanks)" can be tiring, time consuming and often costly. That is where our peers come in!
Don’t forsake the opportunity to meet and greet with your peers whenever the possibility presents itself. You and I need to have that peer group so we can bounce ideas, share strategy, and cut out all the BS! Sure we can talk to friends and family, but they simply have no idea what you and I do?!? The are like deer in headlights when talking about digital transaction, internet security, payment processing, etc.
Here in the Atlanta area, we are meeting together on a monthly basis and our first meetup of 2010 has been getting a lot of attention for the Ecommerce Merchants Atlanta Chapter Meetup on January 12th at The Asian Buffet in Stone Mountain. eCommerce Merchants Atlanta is a local chapter to support online merchants. With regular meetings and networking events combined with valuable information and the latest strategies, merchants will enjoy and benefit from their participation.
